Wondering about land rental rates in  Minnesota? Determining a fair and profitable farm rental agreement can be challenging in today’s economy. Landowners, farmers and agri-business professionals are invited to attend free informative meetings presented by David Bau and Nathan Hulinsky, Extension Educators in Ag Business Management. These meetings, available both in-person and online, provide valuable insights and tools to help establish equitable farm land rental rates.

Key Points:

1. What to Expect: These free meetings cover various aspects of fair farm rental agreements, including historical and projected farmland rental rate trends, current farmland values and sales, input costs, current corn and soybean prices, affordability of rent, rate of return for landowners and flexible rental agreement options.

2. Meeting Details: In-person meetings will run from now to Dec. 21, 2023. Zoom meetings will be regionally scheduled across the state starting in January.  No pre-registration is required. Attendees will receive informative worksheets and factsheets to assist in determining the fair 2023 farm land rental rate.

3. Alexandria Workshops: The Alexandria workshops are scheduled for Nov. 16, at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Public Works Building, 526 Willow Dr, Alexandria, MN 56308.
