Lakes Area Mobile IV is a unique opportunity for people in the area to have first class medical treatments at home. Jess Moen, the owner, is a Registered Nurse with 18 years of experience, nutrition certification and 12 years in acute hospital care. She’s worked in home care and has always had a passion for IV therapy.

“I first saw At-Home IV Therapy a few years ago when I was visiting another state. I thought I would love to do that someday. With research, training and help from my director, I launched Lakes Area Mobile IV to help people feel their best and not have to leave their house. It really helps people feel good and is such a rewarding part of this business. It makes all the time and hard work worth it,” said Moen.

At-home IV Therapy has been a growing trend through-out the United States, treating many symptoms of various conditions including dehydration, post COVID/influenza and other illness symptoms, hangovers, migraines, sports recovery and just for an extra boost of vitamins and minerals that your body may be missing.  People that request IV hydration and supplements are screened by Jess and her Medical Director with a medical history and medications after which a plan for infusion/injection is discussed. The service may not be safe for people with liver, kidney or heart failure.

Lakes Area Mobile IV offers intravenous infusions with added vitamins, minerals and/or amino acids and vitamin intramuscular injections. There are several options depending on the symptom relief a patient is seeking.

By bypassing the digestive system, the infused vitamins go directly to the bloodstream offering 100 percent immediate bioavailability and absorption. IV hydration and supplementation are for symptom relief only, although healthy people often receive them for added vitamin or immunity boosts. “Some people have Crohn’s disease or Celiac Disease in which they have difficulty absorbing vitamins. IV Therapy is a true benefit for them due to the immediate availability to the body,” said Moen.

“I offer symptom relief and promote well-being to the community all while conveniently bringing my skills and services to the patients. I truly care about helping people feel their best. It’s amazing what 100 percent absorption can do,” said Moen.

After the initial screening, the appointment takes about an hour. Moen comes to the location of your choice, be it work, school, at a pedicure or massage and even for office staff parties. The plan is discussed, and any questions are answered. There is a consent form for the therapy that requires a signature. Vital signs are checked, and a small IV catheter is inserted and the infusion happens over the course of roughly 45 minutes.

The therapy is not covered by insurance and requires private pay, although some health savings accounts cover reimbursement.
