Central Square will present its  Summer Arts Program for kids ages 6 through 11 beginning on July 6 and ending on August 24. The program will host a diverse schedule of classes that will offer their young students hands-on experience in artistic disciplines, imagination exploration and the joy of creativity.

The impact arts have in the lives of children is tangible. No matter the circumstances of a child’s life, engagement with the arts can benefit them in positive ways that measurably result in better academic performances, and improved personal growth. The arts also inspire confidence, stimulate imagination and generally make kids happy.

“We are looking forward to a great summer with an awesome line up of creative outlets for kids. Our goal is to have our students leave with knowledge of simple art techniques they can build on, a sense of their own creativity, and, of course, lasting memories,” says Cheryl Larson, executive director of Central Square.

The art camps will run every Wednesday, June 6 through August 24, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. with each class built around a theme. All classes will be at Central Square, 105 2nd Avenue NE. Each class is $15 dollars. There is a package deal if you sign up for all classes. Please call Central Square at 320-634-0400 for additional details.
