The  Pope County BIO Girls  (Beautiful Inside and Outside) recently completed a 12 week program? It was the third year of offering this program and all site directors/mentors volunteer their time for this program.  “Each BIO Girl grew so much over the past 12 weeks. During our finale event on October 30, we celebrated progress, cheered on other participants and learned a valuable lesson – hard work pays off by successfully completing a 5K,” said Lori Wallin, who was a director of the program along with Kassie Song.  “Kassie and I appreciated the opportunity to be a part of each BIO Girls life over the past 12 sessions. Completing a 5K was a big milestone!” Mentors for the program included Kristie Taffe, Alisha Zavadil, Kristal Wendt, Megan Greene, Erin Dahlke, Jacqueline Reents, Brook Wilken, Kristin Deutsch, Lindsay Rourke-Nelson, Jodee Wallin and Madeline Reents. There were 21 young girls who participated in the BIO Girls program.  Those participants included (not in order) Adilyn Deters, McKinley Lund, Hadley Wendt, Layla Tensen, Marlowe Wilkin, Willow Zavadil, Lindsay Dahlke, Abigail Baker, Stella Nelson, Natalie Reents, Gabriela Wallin, Annika Boll, Avery Greene, Callianna Swanson, Miley McIver, Kaitlyn Reents, Sophia Boll, Isabelle Wallin, MacKenzie Taffe, Jullian Deutsch and Nori Song.
