New text books for Sunday School at Fron

From the Pope County Tribune, Thursday, March 15, 1923.

Confetti to the right of them, kewies to the left of them, dancing, fish pond, novelty stands, candy booths, cane racks, raffles and music all around them, will be the facts when the Legion, the Auxiliary and the public take in the Carnival at the Fremad Hall tonight, tomorrow afternoon and evening.

The members of the Legion Auxiliary, with the assistance of carpenters, have transformed the Fremad hall into a regular fairyland. Small bright colored balloons dangle in the air. Streamers float everywhere. The stirring colors of Old Glory are worked into harmony on every object.

There will be something of interest for everybody at the carnival. A part of the hall has been set aside for dancing. The rest is taken up with booths that will supply all wants.

Upwards of 50 people were present at the special meeting Sunday afternoon in the Fron church. After due consideration, they decided unanimously to introduce the Graded System of text books into our religious instruction. These will be taken into use in the Sunday School. It was also decided to arrange for a term of four weeks of parochial school for the coming summer. Both English and Norwegian will be used in instruction. The children will attend half day periods.
