PJ Johnson, a member of the 2023 Minnewaska Area baseball team, as among players selected to play in the All-Star Baseball Series, set for Thursday through Saturday, June 22-24.

Johnson is a starting catcher/pitcher for the Lakers, who recently completed their season with an overall record of 15-5, which included a 13-1 mark in the WCC to tie for the WCC title with Montevideo.

There are four Metro All-Star teams and two from the Out-State Minnesota, including the North team (defending champs), which includes PJ Johnson, along with players from Paynesville, Alexandria, Perham, St. Cloud and more.

Players are set to report to practice and a banquet, Thursday, June 22 before beginning games Friday.  The first games for the North is at 2:45 p.m., Friday, June 23 (vs. Metro West) and 7:15 p.m., Friday, June 23 (vs. Metro North).

Games are also played Saturday, June 24 and all games are played at Chaska Athletic Park, 725 West 1st Street, Chaska.
