The 2023 Quilt Drawing was held on the last day of the Pope County Fair, Aug. 5. The winner of this year’s quilt is Bonita Carlson of Long Beach. This year’s quilt was made by Joy Erdman. Funds raised from the raffle go toward the Pope County Council on Aging senior parties held twice a year; one for the fourth of July and another for Halloween. The funds are also used for maintenance on the organization’s building on the fair grounds.
