The Starbuck Police Department held its 5th annual Night to Unite, Saturday, Sept. 16, by the Depot Museum on East Depot Lane in Starbuck.  There were a number of fun activities for families to participate in, including free food, music, family games, inflatables, kids tattoos, local business booths handing out a variety of gifts, prizes and important information, and much more.  A large crowd was on hand all afternoon for the Night to Unite.  Members of the Starbuck Police Department were present to award honorary badges to kids who attended the event.  And, once the child had their badge, they also received a free prize that they could pick out.  Members of the  National Guard were also on hand with a free rock-climbing wall, which was a big hit with everyone.

After the Night to Unite event, there was a Josh Owen Memorial Street Dance from 6-11 p.m. at the Starbuck Community Center to raise money to help send Deputy Owen’s family and partners to Washington, D.C. for Police Week 2024 when Deputy Owen’s name will be added to the Law Enforcement Memorial.  Also included with the Street Dance was a silent auction and food trucks.
