When we moved off the farm in 1998 and built a home near Glenwood, we brought with us our old fishing boat which we stored in our garage.  Well, that boat rarely, if ever, was in the water again.  So it became our vessel for recycling.  We had four boxes in the boat, one each for paper, plastics, glass and tin cans.  We’ve been avid about recycling and reusing ever since.

Recycling simply means that many of the things we want to dispose of can be used in making other products that many of us can and do use every day.  Doesn’t that make a lot of sense rather than just tossing it and have it clog up our planet?  If you already are recycling, our environment thanks you.  If not, start with four boxes (you don’t need a boat).

We welcome you to watch for more information on recycling in future editions.
