A new floral experience has made its home in Glenwood. The Flower Co., located at 14 6th Avenue Northwest, opened their doors to the public earlier this month. The store offers much more than flowers and plants.

Jana Zenner, owner of The Flower Co., brings nearly 15 years of experience in the floral industry to the area. She has owned the flower shop in Brooten since 2009 and decided that it was time to grow her business. “Glenwood is such an active community, we’re excited to be part of it,” Zenner stated.

“Flowers make people happy! I try to create designs that are unique. Be comfy, come in, express your flair. I’m excited to collaborate with customers to create what they envision,” added Zenner. “Whether you prefer a look that is classic and traditional, modern and trendy, soft and romantic or unusual and offbeat, at The Flower Co., we customize designs with you in mind!”

Not only are customers walking through the door welcomed by the scents of blooming flowers, plant life, scented candles and coffee, but also with a cheerful smile. “I do my best to deliver courteous, professional service and high-quality items to my customers. I offer daily delivery service to local hospitals and funeral homes.”

With plans to bring in more products, growth is a big part of Zenner’s vision. She works with her customers on bouquets, wedding décor, funerals and memorial services, graduations and any other event that can be imagined. The Flower Co also has tables and chairs available for rent.

Zenner teaches classes on floral arranging which are usually held at Rolling Forks Vineyards. She has done classes on centerpiece building and holiday porch pots. She creates cemetery wreaths for loved ones who want to have flowers placed at the graves of their family members and friends. She participates in caring rose week and will be open for Small Business Saturday in Glenwood. “I just want to bring new designs, looks and concepts to my customers and be a part of their special events,” she said. “We’re open to suggestions from the community to fulfill needs as well. I really want to be involved in the community.”

Currently, the store is filled with plants, flowers and several holiday items. For more information, heck out the website www.theflowerco.net or call (320)334-4377.

“Don’t be afraid to stop in either! I think one of the biggest parts of any design business is customer service. I want to create an experience for my customers that they will never forget,” added Zenner.
