Spring-like weather conditions over the past week meant Lake Minnewaska looked more like it does at the end of March when all the permanent ice shelters are off the lake as the ice deteriorates and the lake opens up.  But this photo, taken the first week of February shows a lake devoid of ice fishing shelters and a lone angler who walked out to fish on the ice with temperatures in the 50s.  Colder weather moved in over the weekend, but another warm-up is forecast for the week.
