The Lakers have found their rhythm. After starting out 0-6, the Minnewaska girls tennis team has won four-straight matches to improve to 4-6 overall. And, all four of those wins were against WCC foes, giving the Lakers a 4-0 record to start out the conference schedule. The Lakers shut out Morris Area-WCA at home, Thursday, Sept. 1, and then won at Montevideo last Tuesday (5-2) before earning a key 6-1 victory at home against Lac qui Parle-DB, Thursday.
The Lakers have two more matches this week, including a match at YME, Tuesday (tomorrow) and a contest at home against MACCRAY, Thursday.
Grace Jensen, who has been playing mostly second doubles, has the top record for the Lakers this season at 8-3, while Avarie Uhde and Jayda Kolstoe are both 8-5, and Katy Vold and Zoey Elwood are both 7-6.
Waska 7, Morris-WCA 0
