Tate Reichmann, a sophomore at North Dakota State University and 2022 graduate of Minnewaska Area High School, is a member of the NDSU tennis team, which qualified for the National USTA Tennis on Campus Tourney.

Tate and other members of the NDSU tennis team competed at the National USTA Tennis on Campus Tournament at Rome, GA, recently

The Berry College Tennis Center at Rome, GA had 68 courts available to be used for the tourney.

Winning the tourney was the University of California at Berkeley, while USC was the runner-up.

NDSU finished in the middle of the pack, losing to Princeton in the opening round and Princeton went on to finish third in the nation.

Tate qualified to state his senior year individually and with his Laker team.  Tate went 2-2 at state his senior year, placing fourth overall for the highest individual finish for any MAHS boys tennis player at state.  He won his first two matches before losing in three sets to the second and first seeds in the final two matches.

The Laker team meanwhile, fell to Rock Ridge in the opener (4-3), beat Luverne in the next round  (6-1) and then lost to Litchfield for the consolation title (4-3),  losing one match 10-8 in a tiebreaker.
