The Lakers, coached by Tara Reichmann, Chad Quelle and Carter LaMont, went 9-10 this season, which included a perfect 8-0 record in the WCC to win an eighth-straight WCC title. LQP-DB was second with a 7-1 record, followed by Melrose Area (6-2), Morris Area-WCA (4-4), MACCRAY, Benson-KMS, and Montevideo (all 3-5), Sauk Centre (2-6) and YME (0-8).
Alia Randt and Katie Sorenson were selected for the Most Improved Player Award, while Olivia Danielson earned the Sportsmanship Award.

• The Lakers had four players earn All-WCC honors this fall, Sydney Dahl, Olivia Bleick, Megan Thorfinnson and Alia Randt, while selected honorable mention was Olivia Danielson.
• The Laker team earned the MSHSL Gold team Academic Award with a team g.p.a. of 3.93 (needed at least a 3.75), and earning All-State Academic Awards were (must be a senior and at least a 3.8 g.p.a.) Olivia Bleick, Zoey Elwood and Grace Jensen.

The Lakers went with a lineup of Megan Thorfinnson, Alia Randt, Olivia Danielson and Jayda Kolstoe for singles, and Olivia Bleick-Sydney Dahl, Grace Jensen-Zoey Elwood and Avarie Uhde-Katy Vold for doubles. That means the Lakers will return the top four singles’ players next year, but will need to find at least three doubles’ replacements.
